Privacy Policy

Draft. This is a starting point written for a free events platform. Have it reviewed and replace anything that does not match how you operate before you launch.

1. Who we are

Yendah runs this website. We decide how the personal information described here is used. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: your name and email address, and a phone number if you choose to add one.
  • Sign-in details: if you use Google, your Google name, email and profile picture. If you set a password, we store a scrambled version that cannot be read back.
  • Tickets and replies: the events you register for, your ticket numbers, when you were checked in, and your replies to invitations.
  • Events you host: everything you enter about the event, including images you upload.
  • Technical information: your IP address is used briefly, in scrambled form, to limit abuse of sign-in and registration forms.

3. How we use it

  • To create your tickets and send them to you by email.
  • To let organisers run their events.
  • To keep accounts and the service secure.
  • To send you news about future events, only if you ticked the box asking for it.

4. Who sees your information

  • Event organisers see the name, email address and ticket number of everyone who registers for their event, and whether they were checked in.
  • Service providers that run parts of Yendah for us: email delivery (Resend), sign-in (Google, if you choose it), image storage (Cloudflare), and website and database hosting (Vercel and Supabase).
  • We do not sell your information.

5. Marketing

We only send marketing emails to people who opted in. You can change this at any time in your profile or by contacting us.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account while it is open. If you delete your account, we erase your name, email, phone number and sign-in details, and keep only anonymous records that an event had a ticket, so organisers’ attendance history stays accurate.

7. Your choices and rights

  • See and correct your details in your profile.
  • Delete your account from your profile.
  • Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or erase it, using the contact details below.
  • Complain to your data protection authority if you think we have handled your information wrongly.

8. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and keep the site secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. See also our Terms.
